2. What personal data we collect

We collect only the information that is necessary for the matter you contact us about:

  • When you add your child to the waiting list: the child's name, date of birth and, if you wish, CPR number, the parent's name, email, phone number, preferred start date and any message. The child's CPR number is sensitive information that we use only for the sign-up. It is kept confidential and deleted together with the other information.
  • When you contact us by email or phone: name, contact details and the content of your enquiry.
  • Technical information about your visit to the website, such as IP address and browser type, to the extent this follows from the services we use (see the section on cookies).

3. Purpose and legal basis

We process your information for the following purposes:

  • To administer our waiting list and contact you when a place becomes available. The legal basis is your consent, cf. Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation.
  • To answer enquiries you send us. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in being able to reply to you, cf. Article 6(1)(f), or your consent.

You give your consent by actively ticking the consent box when you fill in a form. You can withdraw your consent at any time, see the section on your rights.

4. Information about children

Some of the information we receive concerns children. You provide this information to us as a parent or guardian, and we process it solely for the purpose of administering the waiting list and any later enrolment.

5. How long we keep the information

We keep your information for as long as your child is on the waiting list. If you decline a place, ask to be removed from the waiting list or withdraw your consent, we delete the information again. In any case we delete the information no later than 6 months after your child is no longer being considered for a place. Enquiries by email are deleted when they are no longer relevant.

6. Disclosure and data processors

We do not sell your information and we do not pass it on to others for marketing purposes. We use a small number of trusted suppliers (data processors) who process the information on our behalf and on our instructions. These are Webflow (hosting of the website and forms), Google (spreadsheets) and Airtable (management of the waiting list), as well as Famly, which we use for day to day communication and administration in the kindergarten. Some of these suppliers are located outside the EU and the EEA, including in the United States. The transfer takes place on a lawful basis, typically the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, so that your information remains protected. We have entered into data processing agreements with all our data processors, ensuring that the information is processed confidentially and securely.

7. Cookies

Our website uses only the cookies that are necessary for the site to work, and we do not use cookies for marketing or tracking. A few pages show content from third parties, for example an embedded map from Google Maps, which may set their own cookies and process information on their own terms when the content is displayed. You can delete or block cookies in your browser at any time.

8. Security

We treat your personal data as confidential and have put appropriate technical and organisational measures in place to protect it against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.

9. Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation you have a number of rights when we process information about you:

  • The right of access to the information we process about you.
  • The right to have incorrect information corrected.
  • The right to have your information deleted.
  • The right to have the processing restricted.
  • The right to object to the processing.
  • The right to data portability.
  • The right to withdraw a consent. This does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out before the withdrawal.

You can exercise your rights by contacting us at globus@bornehavenglobus.dk. We reply as soon as possible and no later than within one month.

10. Complaints to the Danish Data Protection Agency

If you are unhappy with the way we process your information, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet): Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, phone 33 19 32 00, email dt@datatilsynet.dk, www.datatilsynet.dk.
